She attained the following theological qualifications: Certificate in Ministry, Diploma in Ministry, Higher Diploma in Ministry and Pastoral Studies, Diploma in Fashion Design, and Certificate in Butchery Management.

Woman Leadership: I personally feel humbled and honored to have this opportunity of being the First Lady of BIC. The New Testament teaches that all Christians should minister to one another, each person serving according to his or her gift.

Genesis 1:26-28 – Despite differences in appearance, both man and woman are created in the image of God. Both were given dominion over creation. “LET THEM RULE” God said. Verse 28: God blessed them both; therefore Genesis 1 treats men and women equally.

Genesis 2 – Male created before Female. Adam recognizes that a woman was the same kind of being as a man, both made out of the same stuff: “bone of my bones, flesh of my flesh” (Genesis 2:23). This emphasizes similarity, not difference.

Verse 24 – Husband and wife become a unit. Paul states that a woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman (1 Corinthians 11:8-11).

Old Testament examples: God has used women as leaders. Miriam the prophetess sang praises publicly (Micah 6:4; Numbers 12:1-5; Exodus 15:20-21). Deborah led Israelites judging disputes (Judges 4:4-5). Huldah gave authoritative messages to the high priest (2 Kings 22:14-20).

New Testament examples: Jesus taught women (Luke 10:38-42). Women were among His traveling disciples (Luke 8:1-3). Martha recognized Jesus as Messiah (Matthew 28:8-10). Women were included among the 120 disciples (Acts 1:13-15). Peter said the Holy Spirit caused women as well as men to speak (Acts 2:17).

I encourage all women to lead as God instructed, being equally blessed as men but always submitting to God first and then to our husbands.
